Microkernel specialist Chorus Systems SA has expanded its North American operations, opening a new office in Los Gatos, California and hiring an executive vice-president of sales and three new sales managers: the new executive vice-president, David Robinson, was most recently vice-president of OEM sales at Ethernet switch supplier Kalpana Inc, Sunnyvale, and will be responsible for Chorus’s entire North American sales and support operations; he says Chorus is positioned for tremendous success, since the microkernel marketplace is exploding; the company also tapped Evans & Sutherland Computer Corp’s director of marketing Cathy Gortner as business development manager, William Narin as director of telecommunications sales, and Steven Cropper to be its systems engineer.
