CHIPS & TECHNOLOGIES: OUR USERS NEED IBM LICENCES, NOT US

Chips and Technologies Inc of San Jose has reached an understanding with IBM that a licence under IBM patents will not be required in connection with Chips’ current business activities – because IBM has indicated that it seeks to license personal computer manufacturers who use IBM patents – so it is manufacturers who use Chips’ chip sets that will need to get IBM licences.
