CHIP BOOK-TO-BILL RATIO HITS 1.18

The US Semiconductor Industry Association’s book-to-bill ratio rose to 1.18 in February from 1.13 in January. The San Jose, California body says that average orders for the three months to February were $1,080m, up 6.5% on the figure for the three months to January. Orders for the month of February were also the highest for three years. February shipments were $902.5m, up 6.1% on January, and 30% higher than the figure for February 1987.
