CHIP BOOK-TO-BILL HOLDS STEADY AT 1.20

The Semiconductor Industry Association’s book-to-bill ratio for April held steady at 1.20, the revised figure for March. The Association says that average monthly orders for the three months to the end of April rose 4.6% to $953m compared with the average for the three months to the end of March, while April deliveries were up 11.3% compared with a year ago at $767.7m. That was down 16% compared with the March figure – but that was because April was a four week month where March included five.
