The China Telecommunications Broadcast Satellite Corp says it has bought a telecommunications satellite that is already in orbit in the Western hemisphere from the GTE Spacenet Inc unit of GTE Corp; the price paid for the bird was not given, but it will be shifted to the Eastern hemisphere next April; it will provide 10,000 telecommunications lines to ease congestion in China’s existing telephone network.
