CHINESE FINANCIAL SYSTEMS PASS YEAR 2000 TESTING

Chinese brokers and stock exchanges tested their computers for the millennium bug last month while trading was suspended for the Lunar New Year holiday, and early results indicate no problems for the transition to the next century the China Securities News reported. It said the test covered more than 2,000 security broker offices and computer systems used to trade stocks, treasury bills and funds.
