CHINA MAY BE USING SUPERCOMPUTERS TO MAKE MISSILES

The New York Times reports that since President Clinton deregulated the export of computers two years ago, China has purchased 46 US-made supercomputers, and there is concern they could be used to make powerful nuclear warheads. US government officials are concerned the Chinese could be making missiles that could easily reach the US, although they have admitted they have no direct evidence to support suspicions. No formal investigations have been carried out.
