CHINA DENIES IT’S USING US SUPERCOMPUTERS FOR MISSILES

China, which denies that it is using US-made supercomputers to develop nuclear weapons and crack codes (CI No 3,185), says that it’s actually using them for weather forecasting: anyway, it turns out that the Chinese military now has its own, newly launched Yinhe-3 supercomputer capable of performing 13 billion calculations per second, with which, presumably, it can do exactly what it will.
