CHINA CONTINUE TO PROTECT DOMESTIC TELECOM INDUSTRY

China will continue to ban foreign companies from operating telecommunications systems in China to protect its young domestic industry, Xu Shan Yan, director of the Ministry of Posts & Telecommunications said: according to Associated Press he stressed that despite rumours to the contrary, the Chinese government had no plans to change its policy, adding that the telecommunications industry is too undeveloped for it to assess profit sharing pacts for potential foreign investors in the service sector.
