Shares in Viglen Technology Plc, rose 10% to 44 pence yesterday after the company announced a licensing deal with Classroom Connect Inc, the Foster City, California company which offers software that integrates the internet with the curriculum for children under 12. Though known as the largest UK-owned PC maker, low margins has propelled Viglen away from box shifting into network integration and services. It has targeted the education market, where the government is investing heavily to wire up the UK’s schools.
