CHEYENNE GIVES NT USERS ACCESS TO NOVELL’S NDS

By CBR Staff Writer

Microsoft Corp has hired Computer Associates International Inc subsidiary Cheyenne Software to build a directory services management program for Windows NT 5.0 so that NT can access Novell Inc’s NDS Novell Directory Services. It will work with Microsoft’s Active Directory technology, and give network managers single-console access and control of both NDS and the NT directory. The move counters Novell’s efforts to have NDS take control of the NT directory (CI No 3,106).
