Security software outfit Check Point Software Technologies Ltd, has launched a services unit to tighten its relationships with customers and position itself as a one stop shop to compete with the likes of Network Associates Inc. The Worldwide Technical Services division, headquartered in Dallas, will work in conjunction with Check Point’s existing service partners to offer support and training across the company’s entire line of security products. The new unit’s focus is divided into three areas: professional services, which will concentrate on consulting and deployment; technical support, which is available 24 hours a day seven days a week; and education, with a center in Dallas to provide certification training to OEMs and partners either there or on site.
