Now that Mastercard International Inc has bought control of Mondex Ltd, Chase Manhattan Corp will switch to the Mondex system its pilot stored value Smart Card trial in New York City, which has been put back to fourth quarter 1997. It is also to take a stake in the planned Mondex USA affiliate alongside AT&T Corp, Wells Fargo & Co, First Chicago NBD Corp and the Michigan National Bank.
