ChartLogic, a provider of electronic health records, has released its hybrid EHR system.

The company said that the hybrid EHR system allows medical providers to adopt a baseline electronic health record (EHR) with a simple migration path to a full EHR.

According to ChartLogic, medical providers can choose ChartLogic PaperLess Office, which allows physicians to adopt a digital chart system, without changing their charting method, at a reduced capital investment cost, or ChartLogic EMR, a full EHR that includes the PrecisionVoice driven charting system.

Darren Gibson, vice president of sales at ChartLogic, said: We’ve found that one of the reasons the doctors are not adopting technology is that a group practice cannot reach a consensus. With this hybrid EHR solution, each doctor can choose. Even more important, nobody is choosing a dead-end option. Plus, they only pay for what they want – not the full EHR. If a doctor chooses PaperLess Office, they can migrate to a full EHR at any time, without having to train on a new system or having to make a huge new investment. The practices we’re talking to are ecstatic about this. They want to know why we didn’t do this sooner.
