Malcolm Thompson, director of the Electronic & Imaging Laboratory at the Xerox Corp’s Palo Alto Research Center has been elected chairman of the US Display Consortium, a joint effort between US display manufacturers, users, equipment and materials suppliers and the Advanced Research Projects Agency to develop the US flat panel display industry.
