CGI wins application support and services contract from TP Group

CGI frameworks to help consolidate its current multi application, multi vendor environment

By CBR Staff Writer

CGI Group, a provider of information technology and business process services, has signed a three-year agreement with Poland’s telecommunications provider Telekomunikacja Polska Group (TP Group), for application support and services.

CGI said that it will deploy its frameworks to help TP Group consolidate its current multi application, multi vendor environment to improve overall time to market and total cost of ownership.

CGI will provide application maintenance and development, on a number of technology platforms. Services will be delivered through its Warsaw Development Centre with additional support teams located at TP Group sites throughout Poland.

Michael Roach, president and CEO of CGI, said: At CGI, we know the telecom business. TP Group was looking for deep subject matter expertise in telecom and CGI’s solutions and service capabilities were a good fit. This partnership with one of the leading IT users in Poland will expand our local and European presence in application outsourcing services and our global telecom practice.
