Having assiduously built up its GSI Generale de Services en Informatique software and computer services subsidiary, CGE has decided to divest all non-telecommunications computer interests. GSI, which made profits of $2.6m on turnover of $215m last year, is expected to go in a management buy-out. It is one of the biggest software and computer services firms in Europe, and has substantial German interests.
