A slump in sales due to tough conditions in the world semiconductor industry has led IC test equipment maker Cerprobe Corp to warn that fourth quarter results will be below expectations. The Gilbert, Arizona-based probe card maker expects to report a net loss per share of between $0.03 to $0.06 on revenues of $14m-$15m. President and CEO, Zane Close says he does not believe that the current quarter sets any trend for 1999 and he expects demand for products and services will strengthen through next year. With subsidiaries in Scotland, France, Singapore and Taiwan. Close says that while conditions have stabilized for a few customers, many continue to experience the impact of severe semiconductor capacity correction.
