Millennium 2007 is different from Cerner’s previous releases in that it gives specific attention to physician workflow. In all, the 2007 release includes more than 8,600 added features, including support for medication reconciliation, hospital-wide discharge, professional judgment patient acuity and a series of strategic critical care and preoperative upgrades.
We are very excited about medication reconciliation and the enhanced view – tools that allow data to flex with rapid patient movement from the ER to critical care area, commented Carl Sergeant, enterprise clinical systems architect at Spectrum Health.
Cerner Millennium 2007 is the outcome of a cumulative R&D investment that will exceed $2 billion by 2010. This is the 15th version of the Cerner Millennium health information technology architecture, which was first introduced in 1995.
