CERIDIAN TO BUY PAYROLL AND PERSONNEL BUREAU FIRM TESSERACT

Minneapolis-based Ceridian Corp, the computer services arm of the old Control Data Corp, announced that it is to buy $25m-a-year San Francisco bureau operator Tesseract Corp from a group of investors led by Feibusch & Co for an undisclosed sum. Tesseract provides integrated payroll, personnel and benefits administration for medium-sized firms with 1,000 to 500,000 employees.
