Payroll services company Ceridian Corp is the latest victim of a class action suit in the US district court, claiming it gave misleading statements about the development and viability of its new payroll software Cll, and the impact it would have on its 1997 operations. The complaint charges defendants with actually concealing the fact that Cll was a complete failure, and artificially boosting profits by improperly capitalizing millions of dollars of software development costs.
