CERES IT Targets East European Insurance Market

By CBR Staff Writer

Chelmsford, UK-based financial services consultancy and software vendor Eurobase Systems Ltd has created a joint venture with Central and Eastern European Reinsurance Services Ltd (CERES) to sell Eurobase’s insurance software into central and Eastern Europe. CERES IT will market Eurobase’s Synergy product in 27 countries, capitalizing on the growth in non-life insurance premiums in the region, a market that looks set to double within five years. CERES, which was set up by insurer Lloyd’s of London in 1997 specifically to sell reinsurance to ceding companies in central and Eastern Europe, has itself implemented Synergy on Windows NT.
