In an expected move, the president and chief executive of Internet service provider Digex Inc, Christopher McCleary, has announced that he will leave by year-end following the June acquisition of the company by Tampa, Florida-based Intermedia Communications Inc for $150m. Intermedia eliminated his position and offered him an executive vice president role, but he decided to leave. Digex founder and chief technical officer, Doug Humphrey quit in August in a similar fashion, to pursue other interests.
