Monroe, Louisiana-based Century Telephone Enterprises Inc is to acquire Tele-Max Inc and its Lake Dallas Telephone Co Inc and Remote Access Cellular Telecommunications Inc subsidiaries: the former has about 5,300 telephone access lines in a high-growth area between Dallas and Denton, Texas; the latter owns 0.5% of a limited partnership which operates the Dallas Metropolitan Statistical Area wireline cellular system, representing nearly 20,000 pops; no terms disclosed.
