CENTURY DATA WINS $6M CONTRACT WITH UNION CITY

Century Data Inc, of San Jose, California has won a $6m one-year contract with Union City, California-based Relax Technology Inc, for half-height 170Mb 5.25 Winchester disk drives: under terms of the contract Century will deliver Model 14406 drives with access times of 25mS and transfer rates of 10M-bits per second, designed using the Small Computer System Interface standard, for use in Relax’s Hard Plus and MacMate data storage subsystems for the Macintosh II desktop micro; Relax will also use the drives as part of its internally mounted Mac II disk subsystems.
