Centram Inc, Berkeley, now part of Sun Microsystems Inc, has added two new features to the Apple Macintosh version of its Tops Network, a LaserWriter spooler and a data translation application: Tops Spool was developed by Think Technologies Inc, Bedford, Massachusetts, and is a print spooler utility that frees the user’s Mac while documents print in the background, and Tops Translators is a program from DataViz Inc, Norwalk, Connecticut that converts file format and contents between Mac and PC-DOS application programs, maintaining margins, tabs, print styles, and other formatting commands when a file is opened in a different environment.
