The Central Bank and Oracle Corp have signed an agreement to use Oracle products in regional divisions of the bank. The agreement assumes that about 80 divisions of the Central Bank will use Oracle programs and the agreement will be executed with assistance from LVS Systems and FORS, two major distributors of Oracle in Russia. This is one of the largest contracts Oracle has won so far in Russia. More than 100 employees of the Central Bank will be trained at the LVS training centre in Moscow. The agreement assumes that the Central Bank will purchase Oracle products for various applications and projects during the next five years. Terms of delivery will depend on the number of products requested each year. The Central Bank continues to buy database management products from Informix Corp and from other vendors.
