UK internet services firm NetBenefit Plc is the latest company to sign up to sell RealNames, the natural language URL redirection system from Centraal Corp of San Carlos, California. RealNames is a browser plug-in which allows web surfers to find a web site using a natural-language entry in the address field – such as Coca Cola rather than http://www.cocacola.com. Companies or consumers can register their trademarked brand names with Centraal for a $100 annual fee, or their personal names for one year free. NetBenefit, will add the RealNames service to its site hosting and domain name registration offerings.
