San Jose, California-based Centigram Communications Corp, best known its Adaptive Information Processing communication server system, has opened subsidiaries in Europe and Australia. Centigram Europe BV, based in Amsterdam, will furnish sales, marketing and technical support for Centigram customers and distributors throughout Europe, says the company. Centigram has already installed Adaptive Information Processing systems in the network of E-Plus Mobilfunk GmbH, Germany’s GSM 1800 cellular network. Centigram Australia Pty Ltd, Centigram’s new subsidiary in Sydney, has been set up to provide sales and engineering support for James Hardie Building Automation Systems, a Centigram business partner and distributor. The two will also jointly develop customer-specific applications. Centigram has already installed Adaptive Information Processing systems throughout the cellular network of Optus Communications Pty Ltd, and provides messaging services for Optus cellular customers in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.
