CENTERVIEW CHIEF LEAVES TO FORM NEW COMPANY

By CBR Staff Writer

Former CenterView Software Inc president and chief executive Mark Douglas is leaving the company he sold to Informix Software Inc last week (CI No 3,107) and already has funding to start a new company dedicated to selling call center software, probably out of a location in Florida. Douglas says he hasn’t decided whether to build or buy the software he’ll need, but reckons the call center software market is about where the sales automation market was around 18 months ago, he plans to emphasize Web and telephone integration in technology aimed at large organizations, especially those looking to use information stored in data warehouses to generate leads and business.
