CELLNET CONNECTION FIGURES

Mobile telephone operator Cellnet Mobile Communications Ltd announced that net connections to its network in April totalled 39,200, compared with just 16,500 in April 1993; its total subscriber base climbed to 1.06m from 675,000 in April 1993.
