CE Software Holdings Inc, West Des Moines, Iowa developer of electronic mail software for local area network-based systems and the Internet, fired 16 people, 17% of the workforce as part of a programme to streamline operations and cut costs. A relatively weak computer software market and confusion about the future of Apple Computer Inc were factors in the most recent quarter’s revenues, declared the company’s president Richard Skeie.
