The CD ROM industry is really taking off now, and Infotech reckons that the installed base of CD ROM drives grew to 1.25m in 1990 and that more than 2,250 titles are now available on CDs, up from 1,500 in 1989; industry sales more than doubled to exceed $1,500m in 1990.
