Sales of software on compact disk soared 366% to reach $135.8m (are they sure? Mightn’t it have been $135.6m?) in the first quarter of this year, the Software Publishers Association reported; unit sales for the 73 reporting companies were 4.4m in the first quarter, up 256%.
