CBS CREATES WEB CONTENT FOR AFFILIATES’ SITES

By CBR Staff Writer

CBS Corp’s New Media this week unveils its new online system called CBS Network on the web, which it claims will enable its affiliate stations to develop content using CBS.com. CBS says it’s using an Oracle database to enable national and local content to be integrated on one screen; sites will be co-branded between a station and the CBS network. As well as news and top draws like David Letterman’s top ten list, CBS market and sports services will also be available. It’s got 155 of its 200 affiliates signed up so far.
