Interoute’s acquisition of managed services provider Easynet will be its biggest investment ever as it eyes the European digital market with cloud and network services.

2. EU, US ink ‘umbrella agreement’, ensures data protection between authorities

A deal will protect personal data exchanged between police and judicial authorities for law enforcement purposes, including terrorism investigations.

 

3. Accenture takes its CAS suite to Salesforce

Accenture and Salesforce are extending the complete Accenture CAS software suite to the Salesforce1 Platform, bringing social and analytics capabilities to the software.

 

4. New iPhone 6S, iPad Pro & Apple TV unveiled by Apple

Apple unveiled several devices at its launch event this week, including the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, the iPad Pro, the new Apple TV and Apple Watch upgrades featuring new bands.

5. Google pips Samsung to post with Android Pay launch

Google has launched Android Pay in the US, joining rival Apple Pay in offering an NFC solution through mobile.
