Cayenne Software says it expects fourth-quarter revenue to be up about 15% over the third quarter, putting it at the $13m mark. The Burlington, Massachusetts supplier of modeling, database design and development tools, reckons that income from operations will fall in the range of $400,000 to $900,000, against $720,000 in last year’s comparable quarter. The company also will report restructuring and other one-time charges that total between $1.6m to $2.0m, which will likely leave it with a net loss of more than $1.0m. Earlier this month, Cayenne predicted charges of about $1.3m as it announced the departure of chief executive Peter Boni, a turnaround specialist who spent four years with Cayenne (CI No 3,322). In October, Cayenne reported net income of $61,000 on revenue down 14% at $11.3m, against a loss of $6.9m last year.
