The Catholic Health System (CHS) is installing Medhost EDIS due to the success of its implementation in two other of its hospitals, where the system has helped increase patient safety, reduce wait times and increase revenues by improving charge capture.

Clinicians use the system by inputting patient data via its intuitive user interface and touchscreen technology rather than drop-down menus, multiple screens and dialog boxes, which can impede patient care.

Medhost says its suite of automated patient tracking, nurse charting, physician documentation and order entry technology empowers clinicians with an easy-to-use, process and risk management solution.

The EDIS provider currently serves facilities such as Memorial Hermann Healthcare System in Houston, the Lifespan Health System of Rhode Island, and the Baylor Healthcare System in Texas.
