Casio Office Systems has brought out a new SX1000V line of office computers based on the Motorola 68020: the line comprises three models and is designed to support image data stored on optical disk: the line is offered with a Japanese language version of Informix-SQL and the entry 1050V model with 80Mb disk is around $27,000; the top of the line 1080V with 260Mb disks is around $47,000; Casio is looking for sales of 1,500 in the first year.
