Casio Computer Co claims a world first with a still camera that uses a liquid crystal display as the viewfinder – and it can play back the photograph after it has been taken: the camera stores up to 96 frames in memory, and they can be transferred onto a personal computer or onto video tape – it sees the thing being used to take pictures of product samples and houses for sale which could then be incorporated in business presentations; it will cost $660 and Casio is to make 3,000 of the things a month.
