Peter Norton is in process of cashing in on the sale of the company he created, utilities specialist Peter Norton Computing, to Symantec Corp, where he is now a director: he held 21.6% of the Symantec shares outstanding as a result of the acquisition, and has now reduced that to 11.1%, selling 1.316m shares in the market at between $27.25 and $31.50 between October 31 and November 26, conservatively grossing $37m; he continues to hold 2.373m Symantec shares but intends to sell more from time to time.
