Cascade Communications Corp said it plans to enter the internet access equipment business by offering two new high capacity dial-up internet switches for use by telephone service carriers. The Westford, Massachusetts-based company said it plans to begin offering by mid-October its AX 800 and AX 1600 High Capacity Access Switches, which it says will provide the industry’s highest capacity modem density.
