Westford, Massachusetts-based Cascade Communications Corp has completed its acquisition of Sahara Networks Inc for 3.8 million new shares, valuing Sahara at $216.5m. Cascade said a one-time charge equal to a substantial portion of the purchase price would be taken to pay for bringing Sahara’s products to commercial availability, and for other costs associated with the takeover.
