Laube also brings substantial finance experience in the telecom industry, having served as chief financial officer of Mountain Bell and US WEST Cellular as well as vice president, controller and treasurer at US WEST Communications.

Dave brings extensive knowledge of corporate finance and information technology to the Carrier Access Board. His executive management tenure at US WEST adds an Incumbent Local Exchange Carrier (ILEC) perspective to our seasoned industry team.
Carrier Access achieved its initial success in competitive carrier access equipment, said Laube. I was impressed by their expanded product line and new focus on the large ILEC segment. The Company is well positioned to aggressively expand its market share and I’m looking forward to helping them capitalize on the opportunity. Laube was appointed by Governor Bill Owens to the Colorado Commission on Science and Technology and serves on the advisory boards for the business schools at the University of Washington, Seattle Pacific University, and University of Colorado at Denver.
Prior to joining US WEST in 1983, Laube was vice president of finance and information systems for the digital telephone division of the Harris Corporation, a manufacturer of telecommunications equipment. He began his career at Arthur Andersen in San Francisco, specializing in financial consulting to technology firms.
Laube is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Washington with a bachelor of arts degree in finance. He also holds a masters in business administration from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and is a licensed CPA in Colorado, Washington and California.
