Customers can also obtain information when shopping for vehicles, parts and accessories. According to Amazon, they can get reviews on everything from Jeep Wrangler, Tesla Model S, Chevrolet Corvette and Ford Mustang.

Amazon Vehicles will feature research tools, which customers can use to get comprehensive pages with specifications, images, videos and customer reviews for thousands of vehicles.

The programme is for Amazon Prime users and once the booking is confirmed, Hyundai will send a car to the customer’s home for test drive.

Analysts say that in the coming months, Amazon Vehicle could provide a platform to buy and sell used cars and could be completing  with other sites in the domain such as eBay, Craigslist, TrueCar, AutoTrader, and others. Automotive director Adam Goetsch said: “Our goal is to support customers during one of the most important, research-intensive purchases in their lives by helping them make informed decisions every step of the way.
