The CapPro division of Capitol Multimedia Inc, Bethesda, Maryland, has new authoring system for Compact Disk Interactive applications called ShowBuilder that enables users to create high end multimedia presentations on compact disk without the services of skilled programmers. These can incorporate full screen digital video, still images, graphics, text and audio, using a simple window interface. The system is available fully pre-configured from CapPro, using a Sun Sparcstation and Philips Electronics Nv CD-i equipment configuration. A personal computer version is due in 1995.
