Using SPSS’ Clementine data mining tool, Capital One said it will be focusing on increasing the speed and accuracy of its customer analysis. The company said it expects the solution to reduce the process to only days.

According to Paresh Dhokia, head of statisticians at Capital One, speed was a key factor in the decision to use the SPSS product. SPSS has already proved significantly faster than our previous analysis methods, he said. It works in a precise, controlled way.

Adrian Carr, vice-president of EMEA sales at SPSS, added: Capital One has always placed a high value on analytics, but by using Clementine the company will improve its own business processes, as well as ensure customers receive the right deal.
