CAPITAL GOODS LEASING IS BOOMING IN JAPAN

Capital goods leasing is booming in Japan, with aggregate lease contract value likely to exceed $45m in the year to March 1989, the Japan Leasing Association reports: about half the contract value is represented by office equipment – computers, word processors and copiers, leasing of which has been growing at 10% to 20% a month this year.
