Business services company Capita Group Plc is set to buy construction industry consultant Beard Dove for UKP4.5m, including UKP1.8m related to profit targets: UKP1.6m will be paid in cash, the rest funded by a rights issue of 656,000 new shares, 1.2% of the enlarged issued share capital, at 169.1 pence per share. In the year to April 30 Beard Dove, which does most of its work in the public sector, had pre-tax profit of UKP495,000 on UKP11.9m sales. Capita yesterday also announced new facilities management contracts worth UKP15m over three years.
