Empire provides application development, systems integration, internet portal creation, and security services, while Sophia provides IS applications for management and decision-making support, as well as BI and data warehousing products and services.
Upon completion of the transaction, Michal Kavale, majority shareholder and chief executive at Empire, will join the top management of Capgemini Czech Republic.
The company said the acquisition, which is expected to be completed by the end of the year, will expand its consulting and IT services capacity in the Czech Republic with the addition 165 employees, bringing the total in the country to approximately 230.
